The tools to create success

Kevin Kenny, sales manager at Camden’s Liverpool Trade Centre, talks about his role.

Since the opening of the Liverpool Trade Centre in 2014, we have managed to assemble a great team here, with almost 100 years of experience between us in the window industry.

This has helped us to quickly grow to become one of biggest trade suppliers in the area, establishing a loyal customer base and delivering our products to homes across Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire and north Wales.

We have had customers coming to us with enquiries for jobs as far afield as Edinburgh and Portsmouth; thanks to our Trade Centre network and our fleet of 50 vehicles, delivery is never a problem.

I’ve found our product virtually sells itself. It ticks a lot of boxes for retailers, installers, specifiers and builders alike. We’ve invested a lot of time and effort over the last few years to develop one of the most advanced window systems out there. Particularly in a local market, traditionally saturated with two or three older-established profile systems, we quickly saw that people were open for something new.

The most rewarding part of my job is getting a phone call from a customer or an installer after they’ve fitted one of our frames for the first time, telling me what they liked about it. Even down to the smallest details, like the design of our glazing packers, or the hinge protectors we use. A lot of thought and planning has gone into every aspect, and the positive feedback we get from our customers speaks volumes.

Being part of a large group like Camden has given us all the tools we’ve needed to create the success we have here in Liverpool. Our colleagues at the Antrim headquarters are always willing to back us with any ideas we have, to grow the business here and to improve our service to our customers.
