Finding a winner

Greenoak Concept and Design has won Liniar’s photography competition, which was launched to showcase its customers’ projects and to enhance image libraries through its supply chain.

“Systems houses know how difficult it is to obtain professional photos of their products once they’re installed in properties, and Liniar wanted to give recognition to some of the beautiful installations it knew its customers had participated in,” the company said.

The competition invited installers to post their photos online, which attracted entries from all over the UK; Liniar windows, conservatories, the Alumina bifolding door, fencing and decking were all featured in beautiful properties and unique projects.

Liniar’s marketing team first showrtlisted three companies: Malbern Trade Windows, Witnall Decking, and and Greenoak Concept and Design.

The public voting was neck and neck and came down to the very last second between the top two finalists. However, the winner was a project in Essex with Liniar’s Irish Oak foiled flush sash windows, installed by Greenoak.

The company purchased the timber-replica style windows from Liniar approved fabricator SGM Windows, and the Greenoak team shared the news on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

The prize for the winning entry was a £500 Red Letter Experience Day, and this was presented to Greenoak director Dale Harris on the Liniar stand at this year’s FIT Show by Simone Sangha, Liniar’s digital marketing manager, who organised the competition.

“We were delighted at the response we had to our competition,” Simone said. “We realise that it takes time out of an installer’s day to get great pictures of their work, and we’re thankful for how many people really engaged with the competition.”

Dale said: “We sell and install with a passion towards our products, and Liniar has helped us achieve our goal by supplying a superior extrusion to SGM. SGM in turn manufactures a first-class window as it also takes pride in its products.”

Simone said: “We engage with installers across our social media networks, and while they don’t necessarily have a direct commercial relationship with Liniar, they know they can come to us with questions or if they need assistance.

“Plus, with the winners receiving a bank of professional images, it makes it easier for them to promote their services and sell Liniar products to future customers.”
