BJ Waller has launched the Buva IsoStone threshold, designed for timber and composite entrance doors, including double doors.

Developed in the Netherlands 10 years ago, today more than half of all new doors in Holland are fitted with an IsoStone threshold.

Luke Piper, managing director at BJ Waller, said: “It’s a well proven system. 100,000 entrance doors a year are fitted with Buva IsoStone thresholds across central Europe. The GRP construction improves the quality of the doorset and saves time in manufacturing.”

Supplied exclusively in the UK by BJ Waller, Buva IsoStone is fitted with high quality Deventer weather seals to create an energy saving threshold that prevents cold-bridging. Its performance also makes it suitable for Passivhaus construction.

Luke said: “IsoStone thresholds can be used for a range of door widths right up to 6m. Its superb dimensional stability means it won’t bend, bow or move even in extreme temperatures no matter what length you need. To make things easier for joiners and manufacturers, the threshold is supplied ready to fit to the door frame with an easy to use quick connect fixing kit, making it air and water tight. With no onsite adjustment needed, it saves labour time and reduces the cost of the completed doorset.”
