Veka celebrations in ‘Top Gear’ for Independent Network
Veka hosted its annual Independent Network awards in July as part of a day-long event to celebrate the industry’s ‘best of the best’ window and door installers.
The event was hosted at the Belfry Hotel and Resort in Royal Sutton Coldfield and hosted by special guest, Perry McCarthy, who was the original Stig on BBC’s Top Gear. It also successfully raised £6,750 for Pendleside Hospice, a charity close to Veka’s Burnley HQ, which provides an invaluable service to its patients and their families.
Founded in 1996, Veka’s Independent Network was created to put ‘transparency and trust’ at the heart of the fenestration industry. Businesses nominated were selected on the basis of customer satisfaction and feedback in 2023.
This year’s winners included:

- National Customer Satisfaction (under £250k): Mews Windows

- National Customer Satisfaction (£600K – £900K): Yorkshire Warm Roofs
- National Customer Satisfaction (£900K-£1.5M): Carroll’s Windows & Door Solutions
- National Customer Satisfaction (£1.5m-£3m): West Norfolk Glass
- National Customer Satisfaction award (£3m+): Thistle Windows & Conservatories.
- Long Service Recognition Award: (28 years) Heavers of Bridport
