Sternfenster has been recognised in the latest East Midlands 200 report.

Compiled by Grant Thornton, the report identifies and champions the 200 fastest-growing private limited companies in Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire – those that have delivered the greatest growth in reported EBITDA over a three-year period.

“The results highlight the evolving entrepreneurial nature of the region, but also its resilience given the challenges faced as a result of Covid-19, supply chain issues and inflation, to name a few,” Nick Gillott, Grant Thornton’s head of midlands corporate finance said.

According to Sternfenster, the entry into the East Midlands 200 reflects its continued investment in infrastructure, product development, and its people.

For example, the company has overhauled its IT system, to offer sales tools to customers – including a virtual showroom – new websites for its trade and retail arms, and a new task management system that is reported to have vastly improved internal efficiencies.

Sternfenster is also working towards the Investors in People Platinum award, which will put it in the top 3% of all IIP-assessed companies, after achieving the prestigious gold status in 2022.

“We have made huge strides as a business, which is largely thanks to engaging our colleagues at every level,” said managing director, Mike Parczuk. “Ultimately, we want to provide the best products to our customers, in the shortest lead times, with leading technical support.

“We’ve invested heavily in machinery, transport and our IT systems, but that would be wasted if we didn’t invest in our people.”

Recent product developments include launching the QuickGlaze bead for its Visofold 1000 bi-folding doors, which significantly reduce the amount of time needed on site, while reducing the chance of error.

Sternfenster has also introduced a new barcode-based tracking system, which gives customers a two-hour hour delivery window. Again, this helps to create efficiencies for customers while improving their margins.

“We never stop looking at ways at which we can improve the way we are run,” Mike said. “This is why we are so excited to have been recognised by the East Midlands 200 as a top regional business, because it is a direct reflection of how we make our customers’ lives easier and more profitable.”
