PiGs raises £575 for Kelly’s Heroes

The first People in Glazing Society (PiGs) event of 2024 attracted over 200 industry people to the Revolución de Cuba bar in Birmingham last month.

Alongside the usual networking opportunities, it was also the chance for PiGs to raise funds for its charity of the year for 2024, Kelly’s Heroes, generating £575 through the sale of the newly designed ‘PiGs Pins’, with more money given after the event had finished.

PiGs’ Sarah Ball, commented: “We really couldn’t believe the number of people that turned up. Without the generosity of sponsors, these events would not happen. The huge levels of support from companies within the glazing industry means we can run the events in great locations across the UK. PiGs networking events are free to attend, and the money behind the bar means we always get the night off to a good start!

“And to be able to raise that much for Kelly’s Heroes just goes to show how generous our industry is.”

The funds collected in Birmingham will be added to the amount raised when Sarah joins 12 other people from the glazing industry climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in September.

PiGs now heads to Bristol for the second networking event on Thursday 13 June 2024.
