LHC appointment

The Window Company (Contracts) has become an LHC Appointed Company for the first time, after being appointed to the public sector procurement group’s framework agreements for both PVCU and timber window and door products.

This was the first time that the Chelmsford-based company had tendered to join any LHC framework.

Commercial director Mark Crane said: “The LHC Frameworks obviously give us access to key public sector clients, and in return provide those clients with fast track procurement and transparent rates.

“As a specialist commercial installer with vast experience in the public sector, we’re very proud to have been appointed, and are looking forward to building strong and efficient working relationships.”

The appointment comes at the end of a tender process lasting around six months, during which the company had to demonstrate its ability to provide a service focused around quality and value. It was led by newly appointed Mark Crane, who made the switch from client to sub-contractor earlier this year after a long and successful career with Keepmoat Regeneration.

The Window Company (Contracts) drew upon its successful track record in the public and social housing sector, for clients such as Basildon and Ipswich Councils and Moat housing association, and its strong partnerships with some of the UK’s leading timber and PVCU fabricators.
