Endurance Doors tees off for good cause

Endurance Doors staged a charity golf day in September, an event that brought together over 60 people from across the window, door and supporting industries to raise funds for Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

Located close to Endurance Doors’ production site in North Lincolnshire, Lindsey Lodge provides high quality palliative care for both day and in-patients affected by life limiting conditions.

Its specialist services include symptom management, physiotherapy, lymphoedema treatment, complimentary therapy, nursing and practical care, emergency care and end-of life-care, as well as bereavement and family support.

As an independent charity, Lindsey Lodge relies heavily on donations from both individuals and organisations to continue its 30-year history and to meet its annual running costs of approximately £3.7m.

The winning team on the golf day consisted of Rob Pryde from Willerby, Wayne Dowie and Alan Clarke from Spartan Windows, and Gaz Mellor, who attended as a guest. Ben Chamberlin from Metsä meanwhile won the prize for the longest drive.

Scott Foster, sales and marketing director at Endurance Doors, said: “Endurance Doors has a firm commitment to corporate social responsibility and to playing a positive role within our local communities and society as a whole.

“Our annual charity golf day reflects this and enables us to build on our already strong relationship with customers and suppliers, whilst raising funds for such an important and worthy cause as Lindsey Lodge.”

“On behalf of the entire Endurance Doors team, I would like to thank all those involved in the event and especially our sponsors whose continued support and generosity makes the day possible.”

The sponsors of the Endurance Doors’ charity golf day included: Vekaplan; Metsä; Dugdale; ODL Europe; ERA; Business Micros; Winkhaus; Coastal Group; SFS; Rochling; Rehau; Avocet; Mila; Exitex; Maxi Mover; Chemique Adhesives; CNC Recycling; Garnalex; Kite Packaging; Brit Ad; Renolit; Soudal; and RegaLead.
