Easy access information

Nationwide has provided a range of materials on multiple channels to provide easy-to-follow guidance over the Covid-19 measures the company has taken.

“The safety of our team, customers, residents and the public are of paramount importance to us,” John Whalley, Nationwide’s managing director, said.

“Because we work so closely in social housing and with local authorities, it was particularly important that we provide easy access to as much information to residents to give them clear reassurance.

“Nationwide has produced two videos: one directed at staff to further underline safe practice at work; and a second for the benefit of residents showing the stringent steps in place to protect them during installation and maintenance.”

Nationwide has also created a range of safety posters, risk assessment and site procedure forms, along with general guidelines and information sheets; all designed to be easy to read and simple to understand.

“As well as social distancing measures in all our facilities – including temperature checks, staggered entry to the building and shift times, dedicated walkways and portable wash stations – we have also issued each member of the team with a Covid-19 Combat Kit. Each kit contains a high vis vest, hand sanitiser, antibacterial spray, paper towels and cotton face covering masks, as well as an information guide and FAQs sheet.

“Nationwide Windows has also put together a CPD course for our workforce, based on the government guidelines. We believe that we’re the only installer/fabricator able to deliver CPD accredited training, putting us in a unique position to train site-based staff to cover all key guidance.”
