Walsin received received a Scheuco Excellence Award for its work within the UK healthcare sector, and was commended for its collaboration with architects (Isherwood and Ellis in association with O’Connell and Mahon) on the Altnagelvin Radio Therapy Unit in Londonderry.

The ceremony, jointly hosted by the Ribaj (Royal Institute of British Architects) and Schueco, took place on the 42nd floor of the Leadenhall Building (the Cheesegrater).

The judges highlighted Walsin’s ability to ‘seamlessly integrate’ the curtain walling system and establish an ambience between functionality and aesthetic.

Managing director of Walsin Ian Sinclair said: “This award reinforces our relationship with Schueco, and highlights our capabilities in collaboration with a range of local sub-contractors to deliver projects to the highest design standards at a national level.”
