Decade celebrated

Dekko Window Systems is celebrating a decade in business.

Founded in 2007 by Gary Torr and Kurt Greatrex, Dekko made its name as a trade supplier of Deceuninck PVCU windows.

Dekko’s eureka moment came when the Greater Manchester firm saw the industry landscape move towards premium products and launched Residence 9, the timber-look flush sash window in 2013 and focused entirely on Deceuninck products and colour.

Dekko grew to become the largest fabricator of The Residence Collection and Deceuninck products, prompting it to move from its original 25,000ft2 factory in Bredbury, to a new 55,000ft2 factory in Ashton-Under-Lyne.

Soon after the factory move Dekko launched Räum, the high-end aluminium brand in cooperation with Reynaers, and invested in Graf welding technology enabling it to manufacture PVCU frames with seamlessly welded joints.

“It’s been an incredible 10 years at Dekko, growing from a regional trade supplier to one of the UK’s leading and most trusted fabricators with a nationwide client base,” Kurt Greatrex, sales director at Dekko, said. “Our success comes from seeing consumer tastes shift from white plastic windows towards high-end, luxury home improvements and in turn investing millions of pounds in the business to cater for this market. It’s an area we continue to focus on and we have some exciting developments up our sleeve ready to launch in 2018.”

Dekko will be marking its anniversary with a customer open day held at its headquarters, which will be an opportunity to reveal its new showroom.
