Committed to recycling

Camden Group has been certified with the BSI certificate of registration in Environmental Management System.

PVCU recycling in 2016 has reportedly reached a new high with 120,392 tonnes being diverted from landfill, which Camden Group said it contributes to significantly.

The company produces its own profile system called the ‘Inliten’ profile system which contains 80% recycled content and is used in all products. By investing in its own extrusion and recycling factory on site, it has reduced waste to landfill by up to 160 tonnes per week.

The recent accreditation acknowledges the company’s commitment to the environment and ensures that the company meets the standard requirements in the extrusion of PVCU profile, and the recycling of PVCU components when manufacturing.

Roy Palmer, the company’s health and safety manager, said: “We at Camden Group take our environmental responsibility seriously and have in place an Environmental Management System (EMS) which indicates how we ensure that our process and activities do not have an impact on the environment. We ensure that our environmental activities are well managed and continuously improving.”
