Warwick North West crowned G24 Fabricator of the Year
Liverpool-based Warwick North West has capped off an extraordinary week with two prestigious industry awards, crowned by winning Fabricator of the Year at the G-Awards 2024, the fenestration industry’s premier event.
Distinguishing itself from 4,500 window and door fabricators across the UK, Warwick North West’s victory is said to recognise not only its manufacturing prowess but also its significant social impact.
This national accolade follows the company’s win at the YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards, where it secured the Transformational Leadership award just a day earlier.
Managing director, Greg Johnson, said: “The last three years have been extremely tough for me on many levels and mentally very taxing. These award wins have meant an awful lot to me, with last night’s G-Award being the cherry on the cake. It’s an achievement I will always be incredibly proud of.”
Warwick North West’s success is said to stem from its comprehensive approach to manufacturing excellence and community engagement. The company’s facility in Bootle houses both PVC and aluminium production lines, alongside what Greg describes as ‘the jewel in the crown’ – an in-house glass manufacturing unit. This vertical integration, coupled with the company’s technical expertise, allows for ‘unparalleled quality control and customer support’.
The judges were said to be particularly impressed by Warwick’s innovative approach to addressing industry-wide challenges, including its partnerships with organisations like Nobody Left Behind and Inside Connections. These initiatives, along with collaborations with local charities such as Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Ykids, demonstrate the company’s commitment to creating positive change in its community.
These dual wins cap a remarkable year for Warwick North West under Greg’s leadership. Since 2021, the company has nearly tripled its turnover to £12 million, invested £1 million in new machinery, and significantly expanded its influence in both industry and policy circles.
For instance, Greg has engaged with Metro Mayors at the Labour Conference, discussed housing on BBC Radio 5 Live, and showcased Liverpool’s economic potential at a parliamentary reception. The company’s impact has been further recognised through multiple accolades, including Business of the Year at the City of Liverpool Business Awards, while Greg secured Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the Downtown in Business Livercool Awards.
