Veka first on CCPI for windows product set

Veka has set a new benchmark for construction product information after becoming the first UK systems house to achieve conformance with the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) for its windows product set.

The independent assessment  confirms that Veka’s product information for its windows product set meets the code’s rigorous requirements for accuracy, clarity and governance.

CCPI conformance follows a rigorous independent assessment of product information management processes, governance and supporting culture.

Veka adds that for customers, specifiers and supply chain partners, this provides greater confidence that its windows product set product information can be greater relied upon at every stage – from specification and procurement through to installation and ongoing use.

It is also said to demonstrate Veka’s ongoing commitment to transparency, consistency and responsible practice within the construction sector. The milestone coincides with Veka’s 40th anniversary, underlining four decades of sustained investment in systems, processes and the UK market.

Paul Kennington, technical director at Veka, said: “Our industry, alongside the wider construction sector, has faced long-standing challenges around the quality and consistency of product information.

“The aim of the CCPI is to raise standards across product information, including leadership and culture, to provide greater confidence that product information is clear, accurate, accessible, up to date and unambiguous.

“Achieving conformance with the code for our windows product information reinforces our commitment to supporting the supply chain with accurate and reliable information and, we hope, encourages wider adoption of these standards across the sector.”
