Aluplast to showcase new products at Fensterbau

Aluplast will showcase its expanded product range including a series of new energy efficient innovations developed specifically for the UK at Fensterbau Frontale this year.

Held in Nuremberg, Germany, on March 19-22, the expo is a leading global showcase for cutting-edge innovation in window and door design.

“The Aluplast stand is one of the largest at the show,” said Aluplast director of sales and marketing Ian Cocken. “Fensterbau is the most important exhibition dedicated to windows and doors in Europe, and business leaders travel from all around the world to learn about new products and new technologies.

“This year, Aluplast has a lot to shout about, especially when it comes to our new expanding facilities, which will help guarantee security of supply to the UK, as well as maintaining the high levels of quality that we are known for.”

One of the investments this year is a brand-new extrusion facility, which has the capacity for 50 high-speed twin extrusion lines, alongside a mixing plant, R&D facilities and foiling lines.

This decision to invest in infrastructure was made before the pandemic by the family-run business, and not by outside investors, for the long-term health of the business and for the benefit of customers, Ian said, the benefits of which will be on display at Fensterbau.

“We are also improving our facilities here in the UK,” Ian continued. “Again, this isn’t to meet current demand, but future requirements, especially as we welcome new customers, and extend our product ranges and off-the-shelf foil colour range.

“These are the conversations we will be having with visitors to Fensterbau, including the growing group of UK and Irish visitors to Germany.”

Key products on display will be the expanding Neo range of energy efficient products, which is said to have generated a lot of interest among UK-based architects and fabricators.

The Smart-Slide Neo, for example, is Aluplast’s next generation sliding door which promises Passive House standards of thermal performance and spans of up to 5m with just two panels.

“Having a PVC-U sliding door in your portfolio has always been a key product, but with the Smart-Slide Neo we are helping our customers compete with high-end aluminium alternatives,” Ian said.

Smart-Slide Neo has a contemporary minimalist design with slim sightline lines and a frame depth of just 154mm. It can achieve widths up to 5m and a height of 2.5mm with just two panels, helping designers create desirable openings with limited visible profile.

Smart-Slide Neo can be finished in all foil finishes, but the look of Aludec or Woodec foils is Aluplast’s next generation of texture finishes.
