The best of both worlds

Robert Corah, secondary ops technical and software technician at Liniar, explains how the Elevate lantern roof has been designed to bridge the gap between traditional and modern lantern roofs.

Available in both rectangular and square configurations, with bespoke components for each, the cutting-edge Elevate roof brings in natural light with a sleek transition of roof bars.

Elevate’s robust aluminium frame delivers strength and ultra slim sightlines from the inside, whilst Liniar’s unique PVC-U EnergyPlus twin-walled top caps with co-extruded gaskets further enhance strength and offer superior thermal efficiency – meaning the best of both worlds for homeowners.

Patented features include Glazing Stop to avoid glass slippage and a weather dam to prevent water ingress and airflow, meaning Elevate provides superior protection from the elements and a year-round comfortable ambient temperature.

Colour matched

Perfectly colour matched to our extensive window and door ranges, the Elevate lantern roof is available in 36 colour combinations with white substrate and woodgrain foil options.

This makes Elevate ideal as a standalone upgrade, or perfect as part of a wider home improvement project. Additional special colours are also available for the ultimate bespoke solution. Each foiled kit arrives perfectly finished, including the top and end caps for a smooth, seamless appearance.

Enhanced illumination

Lantern roofs are a popular option for many homeowners wishing to create a sense of space with an abundance of natural light. And for those with smaller properties in close proximity to their neighbours, there are options available to solve privacy concerns.

Recent Elevate customer, Joanne, turned to Eco Window Systems looking for a solution that would permit her to have a lantern roof without losing the privacy her sitting room enjoys, and the Hinckley-based conservatory and glazed extension specialist recommended Elevate glazed with frosted glass.

Joanne commented: “There were various textures and types of frosting, but we just wanted opaque for complete privacy. At first, we thought this might reduce the amount of light coming into the room, which is one of the biggest benefits of having a lantern roof.

“We needn’t have worried though! Since the roof’s been fitted, we receive tons more sunlight into the room and we’re finding we don’t use the lights as much, which is saving us money on our energy bills!”

Easy ordering and installation

Ordering Elevate is now easier than ever using a downloadable survey form available at www.liniar.co.uk/surveysheets.

It also comes in a convenient kit format, providing everything you need for a quick, hassle-free installation. Thanks to its clever design features, an Elevate lantern roof can be fitted and ready to go within an hour, saving valuable time and effort while ensuring a seamless process from start to finish.

Size matters

Both versions of the Elevate lantern roof come in sizes to suit any flat roof extension or orangery.

The traditional, rectangular shape is available up to 2.4 x 5.4 metres and the square version is available up to 2.1m². Available with additional extras such as self-cleaning glass, solar glass, opaque glass and roof vents for extra ventilation, and with the 10-year Liniar guarantee coming as standard on both models, installers and families alike can rest assured that they’re in good hands.
