Fundraising goal

Target Windows, based in Meir Heath, is donating £50 to the Douglas Macmillan Hospice every time England hits the back of the net in the World Cup.

By June 24, with England’s 2-1 victory against Tunisia and their 6-1 conquest against Panama, the eight goals had already taken the donations to £400.

Director Guy Basnett said: “The Douglas Macmillan Hospice is our chosen charity of the year, so we think this is a great way to show our support to the charity and the England team.”

Target Windows is an official corporate partner of the Dougie Mac and Mr Basnett raised over £1,840 in February after spending a day locked in a jail cell as part of the hospice’s Jail or Bail Challenge. The company raised £100 at its open weekend in May, bringing to total raised this year to £2,347.

Target Windows is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year and is currently offering 35% off all windows doors and conservatories on selected orders.
