Charity mountain climb

Staff from Staffordshire-based Target Conservatories and Windows will climb Mount Snowdon at night to raise funds for local charity and hospice, DougieMac.

The team from Target Windows includes a mixture of showroom staff, management staff, and directors of the family-run business. The window and door installation company, based in Stoke-on-Trent, have raised over £250 so far, but they hope to reach their goal of £500 before they make the climb this Friday (August 28).

Installation manager Mick Tune said: “We have always tried to support local charities, such as Douglas Macmillan and Donna Louise, as part of our ongoing social responsibility as a business.

“However, we realise that, now more than ever, our local charities need support for the amazing work they do for families and vulnerable people.”

DougieMac provides free hospice services to over 3,500 patients with life-limiting illnesses each year in Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire and the surrounding villages, also offering supportive care to their families and carers.
