SkyVista upgrade for old conservatory

Premium SupaLite installer, Vantage Conservatory Roof Solutions, has upgraded an old, thermally inefficient conservatory at a property in the New Forest using SupaLite’s SkyVista glass panels.
Prior to the installation, the family-run business – which has over 30 years of experience – discussed in detail several key aspects of the project with the homeowners, focusing on maintaining natural light and incorporating oak beams to preserve the cottage’s original features.
The homeowners commented: ‘’We are absolutely delighted with our new roof. It’s made the main living space in our home into a livable room, and it has also added a real wow factor for us.”
A spokesperson from Vantage said: ‘’After several visits with the homeowners, we all agreed to a slate tiled roof and two SkyVista glass panels which would be in keeping with the look and feel of the original thatched cottage.
“This has made a significant difference not only in appearance, but also to the living standards for the family. The area now looks and feels part of the home with a thermally insulated roof. It can now be enjoyed as a central and integral part of the living space all year round.’’
SupaLite’s team is said to have replicated Vantage Conservatory Roof Solutions’ detailed drawings using advanced software.
The roof was manufactured to exact specifications and delivered in kit form within seven days, along with the two SkyVista glass panels.
The SkyVista design features a high-performance glass panel that is designed to let in an abundance of natural light, whilst also insulating homes against heat loss and noise pollution.
It offers a 60% solar heat reflection that still allows 45% of natural light into the building. Supplied in cassette form, installers benefit from a quicker and easier installation process.
With both tile and slate finishing options for panels, the SkyVista can be configured to numerous conservatory styles, including Edwardian, Victorian and lean-to.
