As seen on TV

Architectural designer-turned-TV presenter Charlie Luxton is building a house in collaboration with Home Building and Renovating magazine – and he’s using Illbruck’s TP650 Trio installation tape to fit the windows and doors.

Noted for his expertise in designing sustainable buildings, Charlie has featured in a range of programmes for Sky, Channel Four and Channel Five, and now people can follow his progress as he works on building his own dream home in Oxfordshire on the Home Building and Renovating YouTube channel.

His aim is to make the finished property as environmentally friendly as possible, so energy efficiency is a top priority. That’s why, to fit the project’s triple-glazed, thermally broken aluminium-clad timber windows, Charlie chose to use ITP650 Trio.

Trio is a pre-compressed, multi-functional polyurethane tape that’s impregnated with flame-retardant resin. It offers excellent thermal efficiency and air-tightness, and driving rain resistance up to 600 PA. It seals and protects corner joints from mould and fungi and significantly improves acoustic insulation.
