Window Widgets video reveals Jacks manufacturing
Window Widgets has produced a video that gives fabricators and installers a behind the scenes look into how its Jacks ancillary is manufactured at the company’s HQ in Gloucester.
Window Widgets is said to have sold more than four million Jacks since its launch. Throughout the video, the complex Jacks’ manufacturing process can be seen right from extrusion to assembly.
Window Widgets handles all extrusion, injection-moulding, CNC production, 3D design, prototyping and a quality laboratory in-house.
This means everything, from concept to manufacturing to delivery, is handled internally, so no Jacks are imported or third-party assembled for Window Widgets customers. Plus, the Jacks are made with universal use in mind and can be used with a number of window profiles, providing extra flexibility for customers.
Designed to ensure peace of mind with the compliance of load-bearing regulations, the UKCA/CE marked Jacks have been tested up to nine tonnes without failure and are guaranteed with a load up to two tonnes, making them compliant for load bearing capacity EN1993-1 and BBA report 260.
Window Widgets has also manufactured 58 specially shaped capstans to suit the pole required for correct and secure installation.
The manufacturer adds that its Jacks are installer friendly, delivering great functionality for customers, without compromising on sleek design or reliability. For example, no special tools are required when using a Jack due to the pink tommy nut on the threaded bar.
Adrian Clare, technical sales executive for Window Widgets, said: “Window Widgets has the largest range of universal ancillaries for all window installers and fabricators.
“Over the last decade the sales of our Jacks have flown and it has even been shortlisted for Component of the Year in the G Awards 2023, which is a testament to our in-house, self-manufacturing approach to ancillaries.
“We wanted to create these videos to give installers and fabricators an insight into our warehouse in Gloucester and give them an opportunity to get to know the products they are using in their own business.”
