Taking the top spot

Qualitere Windows has put its new Apeer Silka smooth skin door in its showroom’s prime position.

“From the second we saw it at the FIT Show we knew it was going straight into our prime spot,” owner Martin Harris said. “We want people to walk in and straight-away say ‘wow!’ We have always aimed to show homeowners something they can’t get anywhere else and that’s just what Silka can do for us – there really is nothing else like it.”

Qualitere already had 18 Apeer composite doors in its Nottinghamshire showroom, but Martin decided Silka was going to be the star of the show and immediately set to moving his existing top-seller from the prime position to make way for the new Silka door.

Silka is touted as a price competitive alternative to aluminium, and as a match for Apeer’s Lumi and Lumi2 window systems.

Martin said the Apeer composite door range has always been a favourite with customers, with many commenting on how much warmer and quieter they are.

Apeer’s marketing manager Linda Tomb said: “Silka is getting the same reaction from so many dealers; they all want a real differentiator to catch customers’ attention and that is exactly what Silka gives them.”

The range includes eight door styles with a choice of six stainless steel and two all glass glazing trims, plus four more bespoke design options.
