Comp Door achieves PAS 24:2022

Comp Door is reported to be the first composite door supplier to achieve BSI Kitemark to BS 8529:2017 and PAS 24:2022, a standard that demonstrates enhanced security against burglary or attack, as well as weather resistance.

Since its inception in November 2021, Comp Door is said to have concentrated its efforts on investing in rigorous testing to be the first to comply with industry standards.

Technical director, Pierre Mifsud, said: “I think what really stands out to me about this certification is that it is achieved by such a new company. We’ve always concentrated on innovation, and I have always known that our team has an extensive amount of industry expertise.”

Lorraine Balch, certification manager at BSI, said: “By applying the Kitemark to its doorsets Comp Door is demonstrating that it is wholly invested in providing its customer base with consistently performing quality products.

“It was fortuitous that the new version of the PAS 24 standard was issued just before product testing was due to start as it was able to ensure that all the latest changes were included within its test regime.”
