Whitesales launches Skyvu lantern
The FIT Show saw the launch of a brand-new, competitively priced aluminium roof lantern from Whitesales, a product that boasts a number of fabricator and installer friendly.
The new em.glaze Skyvu lantern is available on short lead times of just three to five days for standard sizes and colours and according to Whitesales can be fitted in around 40 minutes.
With internal rafters of just 38mm and large expanses of self-cleaning glass, the new Whitesales lantern has been designed with a ‘sleek and minimal’ aesthetic. It comes in both contemporary and traditional styles with multiple pane options in sizes up to 4.5m long.
The new em.glaze Skyvu complies with the new requirements of Part L, achieving U-Values of 1.3W/m2K thanks to the thermally broken hip beams and incorporates high integrity seals to ensure optimum weather performance tested to beyond BS6375.
Whitesales says that it is easy for fabricators to integrate Skyvu into an existing product offering. They can use Whitesales’ RUFUS digital configurator to design and order their lantern online and they can get as much help and advice as they need on the phone or online from Whitesales’ team.
Whitesales is said to have invested in large volumes of stock to help ensure on time and in full deliveries. Customers can also choose delivery direct to site, with the frame and glass delivered together for ‘hassle-free’ installations.
For installers, the lantern has features designed to simplify fitting, such as quick and easy click fastening of the glazing into the flange on the ring beam, which mean it can typically be fitted by one person in around 40 minutes.

The new em.glaze Skyvu comes in six standard sizes from 1.5m x 1m up to 3m x 2m and these are available from stock in 3-5 days in white, grey or black or in a dual colour grey on white. Other sizes and colours are available to order.
