Sternfenster invests in more automation
Sternfenster has continued to strengthen its production capabilities with the installation of a new welder and cleaner, from Urban.
Urban’s AKS6600 eight-head welding machine and SV 800 CNC corner cleaning machines were installed by Total Machining Solutions (TMS).

The Urban AKS6600 welder has been designed to set new standards for accuracy and efficiency; with welding bead limitations as precise as 0.2 mm, it ensures cleaner, stronger welds. And thanks to its precision welding capabilities, it delivers strong, clean, and consistent corner joints that enhance durability and appearance; this means fewer service calls, easier installations, and a flawless finish.
Additionally, its ability to weld with the protective foil in place enhances manufacturing efficiency while protecting the frame from any scratches or damage.
Meanwhile the SV 800 CNC corner cleaner automates post-welding processing with ‘pinpoint precision’, removing excess material.
This latest enhancement comes as Sternfenster posted an 22% increase in its customer base in 2024, following the launch of its EasyAdmin+ software.
The result of a two-year investment programme, EasyAdmin+ is a cloud-based software that helps window installers design professional quotes, track and manage leads, and have full control over the production and delivery process.
