Genius PVC enhances security accreditation

Norwich-based fabricator, Genius PVC Trade Frames, has enhanced its security credentials by achieving both self-certification capabilities for PAS24 and Secured by Design (SBD) accreditation.

This achievement applies to its entire product range, including its long-standing Kömmerling offerings and the recently launched Deceuninck systems.

By partnering with CENSolutions, Genius has achieved 3rd Party Certification via ER Certification (UKAS) and PAS24:2022, BS6375 testing via ERC Testing, under the CENSolutions CMS scheme for its products with new hardware options, reducing reliance on its system suppliers for certification.

Genius says that this streamlined process allows it to react faster to market demands and introduce innovative products more quickly.

Thomas Weston, managing director of Genius, commented: “These are two big developments for Genius. Not only will the 3rd party certification capability allow us to quickly adapt to new hardware options and product specifications, the SBD accreditation will give our customers a competitive edge when bidding for projects where security is a priority.

“It’s just another example of our commitment to innovation and providing our customers with the tools they need to succeed in a competitive market.”

The PAS24:2022 CMS certification process, developed in partnership with CENSolutions, involved creating a comprehensive Factory Production Control (FPC) Manual that meets the requirements of BS EN14351-1:2006 +A2 2016 and PAS24:2022.

Michael Laney from CENSolutions added: “Genius’s certification capability allows for more agile product development, reducing time-to-market for new designs. It’s a strategic move that positions the business well for future growth, which I’m delighted that CENSolutions shall continue support.”

Doug Skins from Secured by Design commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Genius PVC Trade Frames as a Secured by Design member company. SBD accreditation is increasingly sought after in both public and private sector contracts.

“Genius’s customers can now leverage this prestigious certification to win more business and differentiate themselves in competitive tenders.”

This latest development from Genius’s follows a recent expansion and investment in machinery. The company adds that further product launches and innovations are planned for 2025.
