Exlabesa acquires Flandria Aluminium

Exlabesa has acquired Flandria Aluminium, a French company specialised in the extrusion, machining, surface treatment and recycling of aluminium profiles.

This takeover, which is part of Exlabesa’s international expansion strategy, will strengthen its direct presence in France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.

The two companies, both of family origin, are said to share ‘identical values and the same passion for the aluminium industry’.

Exlabesa says it will bring its ‘entrepreneurial vision’ and investment capacity to strengthen the French company and drive its long-term growth. At the same time, Flandria will reportedly maintain a high degree of autonomy to respond effectively to the specific needs of its market.

Flandria Aluminium, based in Warneton (French Nord department), has a history of over 50 years and currently employs 170 workers. It specialises in the manufacture of aluminium profiles for the construction, industrial and transport segments.

It has an aluminium recycling plant with a melting furnace, which will allow Exlabesa to increase its low-carbon aluminium production capacity.

Exlabesa currently operates on three continents through nine production centres strategically located in Spain, Germany, Portugal, Poland, Morocco, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

From these factories, it serves nearly 15,000 customers in 40 countries. The company employs 1,800 people and produces a total of 160,000 tons of extruded profiles annually.
