Clodagh Driscoll, Emplas’head of customer services, has been named a finalist in the Rising Star Category at this year’s G-Awards.

Clodagh joined Emplas in May 2008 in a telesales role, progressing through the business to become head of customer services in June this year.

Commenting on her short-listing she said: “You’re only ever as good as the team around you and I’m fortunate to work with some very talented and committed people, so this really a nomination for the whole customer services team.

Clodagh continued: “It is, however, incredibly flattering to have made the finals at the G-Awards, and I’d like to say thank you to Ryan, Kush, Jody and the team here, who nominated me, but who have also supported my career development and always given me the backing to develop and to grow.”

Clodagh joined Emplas at the very beginning of her working career. Starting out in the marketing team as a new business and sales assistant, she worked through to 2014, when she went on maternity leave to have her first child.

Coming back part-time, this time to the customer support team, she took a second career break to have her second child before returning to Emplas on as a senior customer coordinator at the beginning of 2017.

Quickly progressing to team leader in late 2017, Clodagh was promoted to customer services manager in June 2018, heading up a 15-strong team before her promotion to a new head of customer services role in June this year.

Jody Vincent, sales director, Emplas, said: “Anyone who works with Clodagh closely, either the team here or customers, has nothing but the utmost respect for her exceptional professionalism but also her commitment to doing everything she possibly can to get things right for our customers.

“She leads by example; she’s not going to ask someone to do something that she’s not prepared to do herself and everyone – and I mean everyone – respects her for it.”
