Double glazing skills boost
One of GQA Qualifications’ approved training centres has helped to boost the skills of staff at Lancashire Double Glazing Group; 12 employees at the large home improvement company completed NVQ level 2 courses in ‘Fabrication of Glass Supporting Structures’ with Absolute Training Solutions.
Staff were presented with their NVQ certificates by Lancashire Double Glazing Group’s joint managing director Vivienne Brunskill, and production director Mark Noble. The company’s two directors said practical training leading to GQA qualifications is playing a key role in helping to develop the careers of their staff.
“We have been trading for over 30 years,” Vivienne said. “Like any company, a major contributor to our success lies in the calibre of our workforce. That’s why we’re very happy to invest in the high-quality training provided by a GQA Qualifications’ approved centre.”
Roy Pusey, a tutor at Absolute Training Solutions, said: “I am very happy with the outcome of the training, and it’s great to see a company like this invest in their staff and promote the benefits of training and formal GQA qualifications.”
