Comp Door upgrades Touch portal

Comp Door has launched a new ‘Branded Mode’ for its Touch portal, the quoting and ordering system from Business Micros.

Trade companies buying from Comp Door now have the option of adding a branded version of the Touch lead generation tool to their own company website, generating retail leads by allowing homeowners to design their door and enquire directly.

In Branded Mode, the Touch design tool offers a simplified interface and fewer options than the full version in Portal on the Comp Door website, but crucially it still uses the same up to date product data and images and the same Touch Home Visualiser to engage with retail buyers.

It works on any mobile device so homeowners can design their door at home and can also be used as a sales tool by installers in their showroom or in presentations.

Touch Branded Mode has been designed to give installers an increased retail presence, without the need to invest in extra salespeople, and the ability to generate ‘warm’, accurate enquiries straight into their Touch Portal account for any of the products in their fabricator’s range.

They can then send out personalised, professionally branded quotes in response and, once those quotes are converted into sales, place the orders using the same integrated end to end software. They can also track, store and edit their quotes all in one place and get the benefits of a mini-CRM system for a fraction of the cost.

According to Business Micros, the Touch Branded Mode can be added to any website and be ‘up and running’ within an hour.

David Massey, Comp Door’s head of IT, said: “Branded Mode is linked directly to the Touch platform here, so customers can use it to take a lead all the way from enquiry to installation direct with us using their agreed pricing structure and consistent product data.

“The software doesn’t allow homeowners to generate an enquiry for a door that we can’t make either, so every lead is especially valuable and worthwhile.”

At its base in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Comp Door has implemented the Touch software platform throughout its operation. It links directly with the company’s other Business Micros software for manufacturing and business management and is said to be helping Comp Door achieve market leading levels of efficiency.
