DoorCo launches 11 new products

DoorCo unveiled 11 new products during its recent ‘Innovation week’, in addition to an announcement about a new appointment to the business, Andy Grogan.

DoorCo’s marketing manager, Ellie Pool, said: “After a year of consolidation in 2023, building strength within the team and focusing closely on product development, 2024 is the year where we go full force to show the market everything we’ve created.

“Innovation Week was dedicated to sharing all the new products we have been working hard on behind the scenes, with daily announcements showcasing our largest wave of innovation yet.

“We kick started the week with Eaton, our greatest door yet,” continued Ellie. “The Eaton slab is the perfect hybrid between traditional and modern styles and has a totally new woodgrain finish. It’s our tallest and widest size ever (950mm x 2,100mm) and has equal trimability at both the top and bottom of the slab, allowing for it to be rotated 180 degrees.

“This means from one slab you can create six prepped door designs, all brought together in the 1920’s themed Noir Collection. Noir also includes a fresh new range of glass designs too.

“Next up was Gripcore 2.0, with its brand-new, evolved hybrid timber-foam core that is stronger, more secure and more thermally efficient than solid timber core counterparts,” said Ellie.

“Gripcore will be available to order from January 2024 and will come with an updated brochure. It will also be available on our new door designer with BM Touch, which is a new system created for an easier to use and more visual tool with an even more seamless lead enquiries service.

“To break up all the new product launches, we decided to announce that Andy Grogan has joined the DoorCo team as regional sales manager. A well-known and well-respected figurehead in fenestration, we’re really excited to have Andy join the business at such a pivotal time,” she continued.

“Looking to colour, we announced that slate and agate will become a standard colour to the most popular Original and Flip designs, making this popular colour choice more accessible to customers with reduced cost and lead times.

“Back to doors and another new product to our portfolio is the new stable door range of six classic countryside designs in the farmhouse style available for both Original and Gripcore.

“We also invited customers to register their interest in Firecore, our fire door solution that is due to launch in Spring 2024. Developed with Winkhaus and tested in collaboration with key testing bodies, this has been a fantastic example of brilliant partnerships working together to create a truly reliable and fit for purpose product,” said Ellie.

“Further enhancing the style capabilities of the Original door collection is the new flush side panel, which offers better flexibility, particularly for the popular Medinah design.

“Our ¾ lite slab has also been modified, following feedback from customers and our own experience of fabricating the door. As well as some new engineering to enhance this classic product, with simplified moldings to make the product more adaptable and extend the number of designs, we’ve also upgraded the woodgrain finish with a smart new etched linear detailing.

“Innovation Week couldn’t pass without reminding everyone about the recent improvements we’ve made to Flip and how fast the second generation of our glazing cassette system is to install. Flip can now be installed in a twin vertical door, like our Carnoustie design, in around seven minutes, and to prove it we have compared Flip to another leading cassette system in a genuine time trial, all recorded on the video we shared.

“The video is featured on our new Flip web page, which also details the other changes we have made to make Flip even quicker, easier and safer,” concluded Ellie.
