The BM Group is back in the spotlight

The BM Group might have seemed a little bit quiet in the media of late, says Nick Bailey, head of sales, but all that is set to change as it has just been announced as a main sponsor of the G24 Awards and secured a high impact stand at the 2025 FIT Show.

The BM Group has been one of the industry’s most respected and best loved suppliers for more than four decades, and we’ve been making major investments over the past two years to ensure that we stay that way.

Much of our activity has been behind the scenes focused on the development and roll out of our ground breaking Touch software platform, which connects fabricators with their customers in a totally transformative way. It’s the first truly end to end quoting and ordering system in the industry, and has options capable of managing an order from retail sales enquiry all the way through to manufacture and delivery. It has already been installed at the likes of CompDoor, Gemini FS (Framework Solutions), John Fredericks, Portico Doors, and Universal Composite Doors, and there are many more fabricators to come.

Unsurprisingly, some of these big names are now becoming Touch’s greatest advocates as they see the efficiencies that products like Touch Portal, Touch Courier, Touch Register, and Touch Dealer and Branded mode can bring to their own businesses and the lead generation potential for their customers.

For instance, Gemini FS have called Touch Portal’s quoting and ordering system a ‘game changer’, and Central Windows have called Touch Register, which lets you add a QR code label to the inside of the frame so that installers and homeowners can access all the information they need via their phone, the ‘future of fenestration’.

As we head towards FIT 25 though, we’re keen to remind the industry that, while Touch might be our newest and arguably flagship software solution, there’s very much more to the BM Group than that.

Together, Business Micros, BM Aluminium, and The Consultancy have products in our portfolio to help every type of fabricator and installer win business and work smarter.

Our Evolution manufacturing and processing software, for example, is still the preferred solution for eight out of 10 PVC-U fabricators in the UK and Ireland, and we routinely provide new machine exports to maximise the efficiency of machine investments.

Similarly, EvoNET is still a key product for us delivering a paperless factory environment with barcode scanning of products and access to a real time dashboard showing the status of every frame from component ordering to delivery. There is a huge range of modules available so that EvoNET can be tailored to individual requirements and our programming team work directly with fabricators to give them the perfect set up.

Group company, BM Aluminium, continues to lead the way in the aluminium fabrication market of course with LogiKal – the processing software with access to all the major aluminium profile datasets that also lets users produce estimates, quotes, CAD designs, and CNC links.

And The Consultancy offers a whole raft of online and web development options – from website design to online ordering systems, product visualisers, and retail door designers suitable for fabricators and installers. Their customer list reads like a who’s who of the industry and they can help any size of business – from local installer to global systems company improve their website and digital presence.

We’re certainly the only company in this industry with anything like this range of products and anything like this depth of experience and expertise and we’re stepping up our marketing presence to shout about that.
