We talk to Dekko Window System’s sales director, Kurt Greatrex, to discuss the fabricator’s latest news and developments.
Glass Times (GT): Firstly, can you tell us a bit about Dekko?
Kurt Greatrex (KG): Dekko is a leading manufacturer of premium windows and doors, and with over 25 years of experience in the industry, we have established ourselves as a trusted name among trade installers across the country.
We take great pride in our craftsmanship and attention to detail – all our products are manufactured using advanced machinery and we’re passionate about delivering exceptional quality.
Our product range includes PVC-U windows and doors from both Deceuninck and the Residence Collection, and aluminium windows and doors from both Reynaers and Decalu. We understand that every project is unique, so we also offer bespoke solutions tailored to meet specific requirements.
At Dekko, we prioritise customer satisfaction above all else. From providing excellent service throughout the entire process to ensuring timely delivery – our goal is always to exceed expectations.
GT: What have been the key moments for Dekko in the past two years?
KG: Over the past two years, we’ve had some significant milestones that have shaped Dekko’s journey. One of the most notable achievements was the launch of our world-first fully seamless window, which was unveiled at the 2022 FIT Show in collaboration with machinery expert Haffner.
This innovative product features transoms and mullions, as well as cruciforms and reverse butt welding – made possible by Haffner’s Graf Synergy machine. The introduction of this groundbreaking technology has allowed us to manufacture a window with a completely seamless weld, setting it apart from anything else on the market.
Additionally, another major milestone for Dekko was our acquisition by Inwido. The backing and financial support from Inwido will enable us to invest further in new products and expand production capabilities.
GT: What sets Dekko apart from other window manufacturers?
KG: There are several factors that set us apart from others in the market. First and foremost is our commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Secondly, we have an extensive product range that caters to different needs and styles. Whether it’s PVC-U or aluminium windows and doors – we have something for everyone.
Lastly, customer service is at the heart of everything we do. From initial contact through installation support and after-sales care – we strive to provide exceptional service every step of the way.
GT: What does Dekko do to support its trade partners?
KG: Our trade partners are an integral part of our success, so it’s essential for us to provide them with all the support they need. Our comprehensive Make it Yours package is designed to match our customers’ brand and directly target their customer base.
The scheme involves our skilled marketing team working alongside installation companies to get a real feel for their company, providing a tailored package to help promote their product range and unique services.
They can create high quality point of sale material, showroom support, and promotional assets such as banners, templates, brochures, photography, as well as a Dropbox folder full of professionally designed logos.
We can also assist in kitting out installers’ showrooms with exclusive promotional materials, providing showroom graphics as well as an array of marketing materials to help promote their products.
GT: Are there any upcoming developments or plans for Dekko that you would like to share?
KG: We’re constantly striving for improvement and looking for new ways to enhance our product range and have invested heavily in innovation in order to expand our offerings with new designs and technological advancements.
New product introductions are currently in the wings, which we’re very excited about.
We’re also investing in additional manufacturing capabilities to increase production capacity without compromising on quality or lead times. Our aim is always to meet customer demands efficiently while maintaining exceptional standards across all aspects of business operations.
