How Glazerite helps installers meet demand for heritage

The Glazerite UK Group offers a range of heritage windows and doors that work well in period properties and contemporary homes alike. Group Head of marketing, Michelle Wright, shares how the fabricator helps installers meet the trend for timeless styles.
At Glazerite, it’s our aim to help our installers stand head and shoulders above their competitors. The secret? A great choice of styles and profile systems underpinned by tailored marketing support to reach and convert even the most cautious of customers.
Our portfolio gives installer-partners access to three flush sash systems as well as the versatile Veka Imagine vertical slider to suit every kind of property and budget. What’s more, the traditional composite door styles on offer through Glazerite from DoorCo and Solidor means our installers can provide the finishing touches for heritage-loving homeowners.
As a high-growth market, it’s key we can support our installers to win more business. It’s a team effort, not only between Glazerite and our installers but also by partnering with our suppliers to ensure we have access to product innovations that keep pace with customer trends.
To keep Glazerite and our installers at the top of our game, we regularly invest in our operations and into fabricator training so our teams can continue to craft heritage products with the care, attention and detail needed to produce authentic and aesthetic windows and doors.
We focus the fabrication of the heritage range at two of our sites; our Specials Division in Wellingborough and at Glazerite East Division in Peterborough, which have both been subject to huge investment in new machinery, people and fabrication methods, including the introduction of Timberweld.
This technology has enabled us to increase throughput while giving our installers access to easy-to-fit and easy-to-transport frames. It has also meant installers who may never have previously specified R9 now can, opening up more options for sales.
The very nature of our heritage range demands fine detailing and timber-like aesthetics that will appeal to homeowners and even win over planners operating in conservation areas. Additional touches like a broad range of classic colours and traditional hardware, horns and cills give our installers extra levers when it comes to winning new business.
The beauty of our heritage styles is that they work just as well in contemporary homes as they do in period properties. This classic Imagine VS in white from J& K Windows in Barry, South Wales is the ideal choice for this cottage style home while R9, finished with a single astragal bar and Pear Drop handles was the perfect solution for a recent new housing development in Northamptonshire, carried out by MG Window Systems.
Both types of houses – new and old – benefit from the durability, energy efficiency and acoustic attributes plus the minimal maintenance PVC-U brings, unlike timber. For today’s time poor homeowners, it’s a winning combination that still delivers the heritage aesthetic they want.
Our range is supported by short lead times, a UK-wide delivery network and expert technical advice and underpinned with tailored marketing solutions from our in-house marketing team. This includes a heritage brochure, drop cards and point of sale materials that can be branded with our installers’ own credentials, as well as social media assets and website content to help our installers differentiate themselves in the digital space.
When it comes to meeting homeowner trends in heritage, our installers have everything they need in one place.
