Commercially sound

Aluminium has always been the material of choice in the commercial market, which is why major North East fabricator, TWR Group, says it is the perfect partner.

Aluminium has historically been the preferred choice for commercial projects thanks to its strength, versatility, durability, and aesthetic appeal.

TWR Group says it has been helping installers turn to aluminium due to increased demand from the commercial markets. Established in 2001, TWR Group started out as a PVC-U fabricator before teaming up with systems company, Smart Systems, in 2012.

Since then, the business has provided a complete commercial fabrication service for UK installers working in the commercial market, providing the best products for any commercial project.

TWR Group’s proven range of aluminium commercial products have been installed in a variety of commercial applications including frontage for reception areas, retail outlets, shopping centres, entrance foyers, showrooms and commercial entrances.

“Commercial has continued to be strong despite a softening in the market,” said Laura Richardson, director of TWR Group, “and it’s vital that installers are winning commercial business. At the TWR Group we manufacture commercial systems which are durable, high performance and made-to-measure for any application.”

Products

TWR Group manufactures aluminium commercial products using profiles from Smart Systems, including aluminium sliding door systems, aluminium windows and aluminium bi-folding doors, including the Visofold 1000 and the Visofold 1000 Slim.

Its AluSpace aluminium internal screening system provides sleek and elegant lines and can be used to divide or partition commercial spaces of any shape and size, providing an effective acoustic barrier.

And its MC 600 aluminium curtain walling system provides the perfect solution for both small- and large-scale multi-storey commercial buildings and ground floor treatment.

“All of our aluminium commercial products have slim sightlines making them some of the most aesthetically pleasing available on the market, are designed to meet and exceed industry standards, and provide easy operation,” said Laura. “They also come in a range of sizes to suit doors in heavy use areas, making them the perfect solution for all commercial projects.”

Beyond the products

Of course, it’s not just product quality that installers are looking for, it’s the right service with it. They rely on efficient lead times, timely delivery and comprehensive technical back-up.

From its dedicated aluminium factory in Peterlee, TWR ensures competitive lead times and nationwide delivery, while a dedicated and knowledgeable team is readily available to assist installers with everything from product specifications and design considerations to troubleshooting during installation.

“We have always prided ourselves on being more than just a supplier for customers,” explained Laura, “providing comprehensive, high-level technical support whenever needed.”

A helping hand

TWR Group also has a history of assisting fabricators with products that would otherwise be beyond their capabilities, whether down to a lack of space, restricted production capacity or limited access to specialised machinery.

This can make it much more difficult for some fabricators to undertake large-scale commercial projects, leading to business being turned down as the demands of the commercial project cannot be met.

“When it comes to aluminium, some products might require a different skillset which some fabricators may not be able to do,” added Laura. “Some companies will also fabricate more domestic aluminium and may not have the means to take on commercial work.

“Thanks to our expanded production facilities, state-of-the-art machinery, they can look after the products they manufacture, and we can take care of the rest.”
