Team focus

Guardian Warm Roof has appointed Simon Bartlett as business development manager.

Simon has worked in the conservatory industry for over 20 years. He joins the company from Specialised Conservatory Systems where he was a director for 13 years. Before that he worked for Ultraframe.

Simon said: “I already knew what a good system the Guardian Roof was from working in the industry but I’d also dealt with Joe and Ross from Guardian, on several occasions. Whenever we spoke I was always struck by their passion for their products and their company. I know how hard they have worked to get the brand to where it is today, so when an opportunity arose to join the company I couldn’t wait to get started.”

Simon will have three key national roles.

He’ll be a devoted resource for the Guardian installer network: Team Guardian. His role will help more than 500 installers to maximise sales and profits through a better understanding of the product range. He will also have an important role in maintaining Guardian’s standards, including product education and cascading best practice. Simon’s final key role will involve active recruitment of new installers with most to gain from the benefits of Team Guardian membership.

For Guardian, Joe Kearney said: “For a young guy, Simon has a wealth of industry knowledge and contacts. I know our installers and fabricators will take a shine to him. Simon understands the realities of making a fabricator and installer business work. He talks their language. And this know-how will be a valuable resource for all Team Guardian members.”

Simon has joined the company at a busy time for Guardian. The company is currently rolling out the Guardian Extension launched earlier this year and its new Solstice glazed panel system will be launched soon.

Solstice is an integrated rooflight system providing enhanced levels of natural light. It is designed exclusively for easy integration and to be fitter friendly with the Guardian Solid Roof System for both conservatory roof conversions and the Guardian Home Extension, a pre-assembled modular system.
