Software technician
Business Micros has appointed Dave Boaler as an additional software technician.
Dave was previously a manufacturing software engineer at Aperture/Synseal and has many years’ experience with the Business Micros range of products.
Working remotely while restrictions were in place, Dave has already helped Business Micros’ customers with queries on Evolution and EvoNET and arranging installations.
He is working directly with Business Micros’ installations manager David Stockwell and renewing the long-standing partnership that existed when Dave was a customer at Synseal.
A key part of Dave’s role will be to work on creating and updating the profile and component datasets that underpin the next generation Touch software platform, which Business Micros launched in June.
In fact, it was partly the opportunity to be involved with this new software that made him want to join the company.
“Touch is the most exciting thing to happen in the software market for years, so I’m really excited to be a part of it right from the start,” Dave said. “I built many of our own datasets at Synseal and know exactly how important the right data is in this industry to the overall efficiency of any software. I can’t wait to start helping customers install the Touch Portal and Touch Business products.”
Graeme Bailey, Business Micros’ managing director, said: “The potential for Touch is massive so we’re making sure we have the right team in place to support the new system, without neglecting all those customers who are still using our existing products.”
