Ninety-one riders have signed up for the GMF100 cycling challenge organised by industry charity fundraiser GM Fundraising, which will take place on Sunday August 8.

All funds raised will go to Hope House Children’s Hospices, which provides palliative care for children with life-limiting conditions and support for their families, both on site and in their homes.

Gary Morton, GM Fundraising’s founder, said: “We’re delighted so many people have signed up for this new challenge and it demonstrates the strength of this industry in coming together to help raise some vital funds for Hope House at this time. We’re all looking forward to the event.”

The 91 riders represent 13 companies: Epwin Window Systems, Central Window Systems, Liniar, Glazerite, Mila, Window Widgets, Quickslide, Kubu, Reynaers Aluminium, Window Ware, ERA, Zoo Hardware, and Kelly’s Heroes. Each team will cycle 100 miles between them from their factory or premises.

The event is being sponsored by Epwin Window Systems.

Managing director Clare O’Hara said: “It’s been a challenging 18 months for Hope House Children’s Hospices during the Covid pandemic with various fundraising events either being postponed or cancelled. We are therefore delighted to be able to sponsor this new event and help raise some much-needed funds at the same time.”
