Modern spaces

Glass Times editor Nathan Bushell visits ERA’s new headquarters.

Today, hardware manufacturer and supplier ERA opened its new offices in Wolverhampton; 135,000ft2 of modern design/sales/testing/warehouse/distribution space.

The event was well attended by the press and important guests, and the the mutual feeling was that the new building reflected the ambitions of a forward-thinking company.

CEO Darren Waters said the first key was invented some 2700 years ago – with a design that would still be familiar today. Interestingly, as we start to accept new ways of securing our homes that deviate from the key/lock design, so ERA is looking to provide a modern workspace.

All the details will be available in the March issue of Glass Times, but as HR director Nicky Purba said, “our ambitions are now aligned with our environment”.

Lovely lunch too.
