From spacer bars to football shirts

Edgetech is sponsoring a football club close to the hearts of one of its longest-standing customers.

David Laing, managing director of Cleartherm, is also chairman of Evo-Stik Southern Central Premier League side Barwell FC.

Founded in 1992 as a merger between Hinckley and Barwell Athletic, The Canaries finished ninth in 2017-2018, and have already got the 2018-2019 season off to a promising start with two wins and a 1-1 draw.

But regardless of how they perform this year, the team will at least look the part, with a new kit emblazoned with the Edgetech logo.

Edgetech managing director Chris Alderson said: “Cleartherm is a hugely valued and long-standing Edgetech customer – it was one of the companies we marked a ten-year anniversary with last year while celebrating a decade of us manufacturing in the UK – and this is just a small way of saying thank you to David for all his support.

“We’re really pleased with how the branded shirts have come out, and we hope Barwell go on to have a fantastic season.”

David Laing said: “I’m delighted that Edgetech has decided to support Barwell this season. The club is hugely important to me, and it’s a really kind gesture from a company I’ve loved working with for over a decade. It’s small things like this that make Edgetech such a pleasure to deal with.”
