Glass Times magazine hosted its first Race Day of 2025 last week, with around 500 glazing industry professionals enjoying a day of fine dining, racing and networking at a sunny Haydock Park.

Firmly established as one of the industry’s most popular and well attended events, this year’s Haydock outing was sponsored by TuffX, SupaLite, Eurocell, ODL Europe, Yale and Selecta Systems and also featured a charity draw that raised a total of £3,187 for CATCH – a Leeds based charity dedicated to improving opportunities for the local community and young people.

On behalf of all the team at Glass Times magazine, I would like to extend a massive thank you to all the event sponsors and also all the industry businesses who donated so generously to the charity raffle.

The next Glass Times Race Day will be at Epsom Downs on 11 September – limited table spaces are still available, so please call 07966 468772 for more details and to book.

In other news, and continuing on the fundraising theme, industry mental health charity Kelly’s Heroes has announced its next cycling challenge, which will take place at the start of September.

Called ‘From Rock Bottom, The Journey Back’, it is billed as the biggest challenge yet for the organisation, and will cover 1,265 miles, through Spain, France and finishing in Portsmouth, over 14 days.
