Ending the year on a high

For the last Glass Times newsletter of the year, we are going to finish on a high courtesy of Listers, which has just enjoyed a record, £4million month.
This follows news last week that Carl F Groupco had also seen its biggest ever month, with sales exceeding £2million, capping a record-breaking quarter for the hardware firm.
For Listers’ MD, Roy Frost, the boost in sales has come courtesy of investment in aluminium manufacturing facilities and the Sheerline product range, together with ongoing demand for the company’s high-end Residence Collection and heritage Timeless window.
It’s been a strong year for Listers, which has invested £2.5m across its manufacturing sites in Stoke and Essex. The company has also invested heavily in staff, introducing a £1,000 cost of living allowance in May and making a move to the new minimum wage now instead of April 2023.
It’s also a fitting way to end what has been another challenging period for the industry by demonstrating that there is still plenty of opportunity for growth, despite a perceived cooling in demand for home improvements.
From all the team here at Glass Times, we wish you a Happy Christmas and New Year, and we look forward to more success stories in 2023!
