New division head

The Saveheat Group has appointed Ken MacDougall as its head of affordable housing division, based at the head office and manufacturing plant in Greenock, near Glasgow.

Ken is the former head of development and regeneration at Govanhill Housing Association and offers knowledge and experience of the social and affordable housing sector.

Ken has worked in the registered social landlord (RSL) sector for over 40 years, delivering significant new and refurbished housing projects during this time. He has also been involved with large-scale component replacement programmes, including window replacements.

Group company Blairs has been a supplier of windows and doors to housing associations over many years, and through the appointment of Ken is seeking to support its existing clients, while broadening its customer base in this particular sector. Over the last few years, Blairs have partnered with installers to manufacture thousands of windows for Shettleston Housing Association, Parkhead Housing Association and Kingdom Housing Association, among others.
