Cornwall campus project

AB Glass has been awarded a contract by Kier Group to complete works at a new post-16 further education college in Cornwall.

AB Glass, based in Swansea, has been enlisted by the leading property, residential, construction and services company to install AA100 curtain wall screens, AA540 windows and AA190 doors, and circular pivot windows at the site in Bodmin, Cornwall, for the College, which is being opened in association with Truro and Penwith College.

The contract is worth in excess of £500,000 to AB Glass, with work already started on site. The design works of the four-phase project has been completed up to phase three. Phases one and two of the project are currently being installed.

The new Callywith College consists of three buildings and will cater to around 1,300 students aged 16-19 years, with opening planned for September 2017.

This latest project win for AB Glass means the company will be able to expand its presence in the south west.

Alan Brayley, managing director at AB Glass, said: “Part of our business plan is to continue with expansion into the south west, so this project is proof that we are succeeding in this area.”
