New demo suite opened to customers

Winkhaus has opened the doors on its new multifunctional demo suite at its headquarters in Kettering, which combines a showroom with a meeting room.

At one end a showroom displays a diverse range of Winkhaus locking systems, and the range of sectors the company operates in.

The door locks on display range from standard multi-point locks, progressing to automatic and electronic locking systems that are fitted in various door materials, which include: veneered timber, composite and aluminium.

By exhibiting a versatile range of locks, Winkhaus said it has furnished the room to appeal to different type of visitors such as fabricators, installers, architects and specifiers.

“Our aim is for customers and prospective customers who visit the demo suite to have the opportunity to view and operate our locks first hand with the additional advantage to observe our locks in a variety of applications designed for different market sectors, with the intent to help them identify and target lucrative business in existing or new markets,” Karen Goosey, Winkhaus’s marketing manager, said.

At the other end of the room, a boardroom includes: a wireless presentation system that allows attendees to quickly connect to the newly installed 82-inch display screen from any device; a boardroom-style table that seats 18 people; and a refreshment station.

Together, the multifunctional room is useful for: staff meetings, including product training; technical training days for customers; and to provide a venue for customers and trade bodies to host their own meetings.

“It comes back to the idea that we are more than a supplier of hardware,” Winkhaus’s national sales manager Mike Rushen said. “Our aim is not only to help customers stand out in their respective markets, we also want to provide opportunities for them to enter new ones by working in partnership.”
