Crowd-pulling event

The industry’s first ever masterclass on the theme of remote selling attracted significant interest with over 150 window professionals joining the online session in February.

The free one-hour workshop, hosted over Zoom by Tommy Trinder, sought to de-mystify selling remotely by dissecting a typical remote sales pitch and sharing tips, tricks and best practice gleaned from window installers that are successfully selling without an initial home visit.

“An increasingly number of our subscribers are hooking up with clients remotely, sharing screens and using our Framepoint platform to sell,” Tommy Trinder’s founder Chris Brunsdon said. “Installers are finding it saves them time and money and delivers conversion rates that are comparable if not better than selling face-to-face.  And, it seems, many homeowners actually prefer the experience.”

Attendees at the masterclass were broadly split 50/50 between firms that are already actively remote selling and those that were interested to find out more.

Gary Bower, managing director of Saffron Walden-based installer Paxtons Home Improvements, said: “We were very impressed with the presentation and content. Very useful. Certainly, it’s made us consider how we might adopt these technologies at Paxtons to interact with our customers. There are obvious business benefits.”

It was also revealed that £34.2 million of work was quoted via the Framepoint platform in January alone.

Faced with numerous requests for a re-run, Tommy Trinder is in the process of issuing new dates for further Selling Without Home Visits workshops.
