Clayton Glass to acquire two IGU facilities

Clayton Glass has announced the exchange of contracts in a deal to purchase the insulating glass unit manufacturing facilities at Motherwell and Canterbury from Saint-Gobain UK & Ireland.

The company says that with this move, both capacities and geographical coverage have been significantly improved, as it strengthens its ability to deliver to the whole of the UK, from the South coast of England to the North of Scotland.

According to Clayton Glass, the additional capabilities will allow it to produce upwards of 65,000 units a week, in a mix of standard IGUs, specialist roof and door products.

With this latest investment, Clayton Glass consolidates its position as a unique, owner-managed six- site operation; the largest of its kind in UK.
