AluK has scored a hat trick of nominations at this year’s G-Awards. The IconiK bi-fold is shortlisted in the coveted New Product of the Year category, EYG’s impressive refurbishment of Hull’s landmark Monocle building in AluK’s SL52 curtain walling system is shortlisted in the new Retrofit Project of the Year category, and office manager and executive assistant, Kim Tiley, is shortlisted in the Unsung Hero category.

IconiK is an innovative new door system designed to help customers win new business and keep their margins intact. It is said to be cost effective to fabricate and install. According to AluK it ‘easily justifies’ its price tag with slimmer frames, larger glass to frame ratios, effortless opening and minimal visible hardware.

The Monocle project by EYG is an example of AluK working in partnership with a highly valued customer in the commercial sector to put together a package of technical pricing and logistical support which helped ensure that this project was delivered on time and on budget.

And in Kim Tiley, AluK has an individual whose positive attitude, dependability and genuine care for others has helped to shape the company’s customer focused culture.

Russell Yates, AluK’s managing director, commented:

“The G-Awards are always a great opportunity to highlight and celebrate the outstanding work that is taking place right across the industry. I’m delighted to see AluK so well represented on the shortlists and particularly in these three categories which recognise our innovation, our commitment to collaboration and an outstanding member of our team.”
