New landmark building
AB Glass has secured a £1.5 million contract to work on a new landmark building being built in Swansea.
The company is working alongside ISG to deliver a £39 million student high-rise accommodation block at Mariner Street, Swansea. Reaching 17 stories and 58m tall, the building will house 780 students and be the second tallest in the city.
AB Glass will fabricate and install Kawneer AA720e windows along with AA720 and AA190 swing doors in the new building. Due to various acoustic requirements on the build, it is also supplying acoustic glass and trickle vents, which help protect the end users from external noise.
The project will be the third scheme ISG has delivered for Fusion Student. The new development will open in time for the start of the 2021 academic year and it represents a key part of Swansea’s expansive regeneration plans.
