Touch of a button

Stylish, simple to operate and with no hard-wiring required, the battery-powered blind system from BetweenGlassBlinds can to provide properties with a contemporary privacy option.

The wireless motorised blinds are controlled by a rechargeable battery pack that magnetically attaches to either the glass surface of the window or the frame.

The blinds can then be controlled using the buttons on the pack or remotely. Remote controls can operate a single blind or groups of up to 12.

“Because no hard-wiring is necessary, our motorised blinds can be installed quickly and simply without the need for an electrician,” Mark Nash, director at BGB, said.

“They’re also really easy to use. You just slide the battery pack on to the window then press and release the button for the blind to move up and down, or press and hold to tilt the slats open and closed.

“The remotes mean that consumers can operate the blinds from the comfort of their sofa or desk, giving them complete control at the touch of a button.”

Glazing units are available in any size up to 2,500mm high and 2,200mm wide and in a full range of glazing options, including solar shading, low-e, fire rated and noise reduction. Standard units are 28mm thick when glazed with 4mm glass either side of the 20mm spacer bar.

The system is available with the option of Venetian or pleated blinds and comes in a choice of 10 colours.
